Edmonton – Staff from the Public Interest Commissioner’s office will visit Camrose on April 6th and Drumheller on April 7th to host educational sessions, in conjunction with the office of the Alberta Ombudsman.
“A significant focus of the awareness campaign we launched in 2013 is hosting educational sessions for public servants,” says Peter Hourihan, Alberta’s Public Interest Commissioner. “It’s important Commissioner staff attend outlying communities so public servants in and around a location have the opportunity to learn about our role and ask any questions they may have.”
Session locations and times are:
Tuesday, April 5th @ 3:00 p.m. – Camrose
Gemini Centre, 2nd Floor
6708 – 48 Avenue
Wednesday, April 6th @ 3:00 p.m. – Drumheller
Riverside Centre Building, 2nd Floor
180 Riverside Drive East
If you’re a public servant with the Government of Alberta and are interested in attending, please call 1-855-641-8659 or email [email protected]. As the sessions occur during normal working hours, attendance should be cleared through your supervisor as you would with any seminar.
